Christmas Time

So it is nerarly the much clebrated christmas time, but why do so many of us celebrate it? when we are not christian? maybe even of a different faith. Perhaps therefore its not so much Christmas time as it is a time for celebrating what we have, and for getting new things for the new year. It is deffinately WAY too over commercialised, but so many things are, the world is so damn materialistic these days!......many people only want material items such as a new CD or top for christmas, and would not appriciate it if they were to receive something that is much more rare, precious and special. Say if a girl was to give her virginity, her purity, her body; as a christmas presents. This would be the most special gift, that this girl likes you enough to offer over something she can only do once, to let you enter her in very private places, to go inside of her body some where NO ONE has been before. Even though it would sem alot of guys would still think 'cheap bitch!' Well may I ask you people something, what the hell is wrong with you? I would also like to ask others a question, if you were to put this senario to your beloved and they were to say that they agree with you it would be so special and rare and they would appriciate it totally, is this just because they would be getting laid? Or do you think thatthey honestly would appriciate it, and let you take it at your own pace? Well I beleive that he will, I hope that he will......if he doesnt then well then there maybe be a return to something I hope I've left behind.........

Lolirot

Yes thats right folks, I have a band (well we don't have a guitarist) and we are called 'Lolirot'. some of you may, I don't know, realise that is a Jack Off Jill song, well yes it is, but it's also a kewlioos band name. Plus we are covering alot of JOJ stuff......actually nearly all 22 tracks on Humid Teenage Medicority! I hear those groan, 'eerrr...not another girl riot band..' well actually no. Jersey doesn't really have any girl riot bands! It's all male punk or metal bands! I would also love to start up and emo band as Jersey has none, male or female.
I Lolirot we plan to dress up as dolls when we are perfoming, just to add the fun/insanity that a girl riot band should have. It is interesting how often fun and insanity can cross paths..........
....so thats all I wanted to say, and any of you that live in Jersey best come and see us when we get a gig, if we do...no we will!!

No place to go

I no it sounds cliche, but come on you must know what it's like these days. I find as a teenager, as a 'young person' there is no where to go and hang out. Where ever you go peple are trying to move you on, or moaning at you. If you go to a cafe they want you gone because you take up space, if you were to hang out on the streets people moan. So what is the only option left? To hang out at home but then you either have parents moaning/yelling at you or people maon about 'the youth of today spending to much time on violent/inappropriate video games and internet chat rooms.' Well I'm sorry but what do these 'grown ups' suggest we do? Were they not once young themselves, I mean life is for living people. Maybe the real issuse here is peoples priorities. Nearly everyone seems to be obsessed with 'good grades and hard work so you can amke lots of money.' I will not disagree that money is pleasant as it allows you to buy things which bring you pleasure, but have we disregarded the simpler pleasures, like watching the sun rise, walking on the beach, being with people we love. People seem to be in constant material competition and with the amount of marriage break ups increasing are people trying to move to fast? Obsessed with the need to always be better than John/Jane next door?

(please not that John and Jane are fictional characters used to illustrate a point. )

Sides??

Why do people have to take sides? Why do we have to be one thing or another? Mates with her or her, a goth or a punk, townie or a geek, this or that? Why can't we just be a bit of everything? Mates with her and her, a punk with a goth side. I guess it's just because people are afraid of being unsure of what you are, they have to label you. Well all I can say is, tough I'm going to be mates with her and her and I am going to be an individual (punk, goth, emo, everything). I guess we just have to be ourselves, and be strong. But always remember people often reject the unfimiliar or different, so I will remember to take into account other peoples feelings and beleives.
That actauuly brings me onto another point, religion. Ok, so I'm not christsian but that does not on any level mean that I am evil. Neither does the fact that I am interested and cosidering Wicca and its ajoining divination (my choice atm is tarrot cards). Is this again people rejecting the unfamilar? My mother claims to be open minded yet she has told me that I'm evil and going to hell before now, and that she 'knows I'll find god.' What if I don't want to find her god, what if I want to find god in the form of The Lord and Lady (God and Goddess). I don't try to stop her following her religion, I would never stop anyone following there beleifs, I would if prompted give my opinion, but we are all entitled to express our opinion, it is a free contry. Though it seems certain issues are still taboo. So this would mean that we don't have freedom of speach to the extend some would proudly claim. Well whatever is going on, I say always be yourself, and be respective of others. Peace uall
